5 Stars One I wanted to hear right through as soon as I hit “Play”
This book may epitomise Wayne Dyer’s entertaining style of wrapping wisdom in anecdotes which are sometimes funny, sometimes moving and certainly compelling listening.

I wanted to hear it right through in the one afternoon, and once again only days after the first playing, which is unusual for me. If it was a book, you would call it a “page turner”.

It hangs together well despite being a very varied collection of observations and stories, and it really transported me to a somewhat better place while I was listening to it. (Which was handy at the time!)

As we say in Australia, a darn good yarn.

5 Stars Awakened as in Early Morning
I have read and listened to quite a few of Dwayne’s books and tapes and I have to say that this one is the best that I have gone through (I haven’t read the “Erroneous Zones” though). But really, maybe it just hit me at this particular moment, but it started really speaking to me. Very good ideas, they are comforting in a way, yes, but also challenging, at least for all of you who have been driving your lives seeking the ultimate success and did not find it there at the top. Well, good job Dwayne!

5 Stars You NEED THIS BOOK!
I’ve listened to a great many self-help books from Louise Hay’s classic “You can heal your life”, to Caroline Myss, medical intuitive, to Deepak Chopra. This is by far the best. I loaned it from my local library and decided I had to have it to listen to again and again. Concepts and ideas to living the “purposeful” life and to solving life’s so-called problems. I am ordering the cassette version of this book today! If you’ve ever wondered about your life’s journey and how you are supposed to live, and what the meaning of life is, get this audio book! You will definitely enjoy Wayne’s upbeat, excited, and personally motivating book. Also, his voice is comforting, soothing, friendly and never condescending.

2 Stars 2 CD set version too short
I had problems with my 2 CD tracks so I contacted the Publisher to get an exchange. This is how I found out that this 2-CD set, shortened and reproduced by Simon and Schuster Audio, was originally a 6-CD set by Nightingale-Conant.

Now this explains why I felt that the contents that I had listened to from the 2CD seemed like it was missing a lot and not enough was said to thoroughly cover the title “Secrets to Manifesting Your Destiny.”

I would recommend that you find the original 6-CD set version of this CD title.

I received this tape set as a gift and I love it! The tapes are inspirational, motivational, and affirming. There are nine basic principles and, although some of the principles are nothing new, they are presented in a new way. I prefer the term “spirituality” to Dyer’s term “divinity,” but that is just a matter of semantics and, for the most part, I enjoyed his tapes very much.

10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace by Wayne W. Dyer is a book written by a motivational speaker on using same basic principles that will change your life. There are ten secrets to success and inner peace. According to the author if you want a happy life you must have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing. The author wants you to treat yourself as if you already are the person you want to be and avoid all thoughts that weaken you. The author feels that people are living in a world of “spiritual deficiency.”

4 Stars Timeless Wisdom in a Clear, Simple Book
Many authors write on the principles of success but, after reading, we feel confused and overwhelmed, as if we crammed from a text book.

Dr. Dyer, on the other hand, writes in a simple, clear, and active style. You absorb the principles and the stories but, afterwords, you feel energized with a light heart.

5 Stars This Book Gives Many Insights to a More Peaceful Life!
I saw this book on one of my friend’s desks. I admire her peacefulness, so I decided to purchase a copy for myself. I am so glad that I did. One day, when I felt overcome with the hustle bustle of everyday life, and I sat down and read this book. Instantly I felt more calm and at peace with where I was going with my plans, and knew that my patience for my goals would bring me results more quickly. I plan to listen to my inner voice, as I move towards my goals, and now am very thankful that I picked up this book to calm my mind.

I learned that I need to spend time alone with my thoughts to recharge my batteries and be able to hear the inner voice that is urging me to create my dreams. This is why I hike, and go to yoga class; it sure has made a difference with my levels of concentration, as well as my ability to be open to when I am on or off my purpose. This book was an integral part for me to figure out how to calm down enough to be open to creating my dream future.

4 Stars Extract from Joseph Murphy
Unknown to me when I ordered this book, “How to Attract Money” is simply the reprint of a chapter from “Collected Essays of Joseph Murphy,” which I already had! I became suspicious when I read (on page 8): “As you read this chapter….” I looked through my small collection of Murphy books (which I purchased during the 1980s) and found the one that had that chapter. Of course, the material is still valid, and I shouldn’t criticize those who thought they could make money by repackaging the writings of Joseph Murphy. Since it had been some years since I last read anything by Murphy, I was pleased–in a sense–to be reminded of the universal appeal and timeliness of his insights.

This book is a must read. Information is presented in a very simple but powerful manner. It has a lot of examples of people who succeeded with the help of the author and has information on the steps they have taken and how they changed their mindset. A book worth reading over & over again.

Learn to write about “How to Attract Money”, and you surely will attract a lot of readers hungry to throw their money. The same old trick this is the “Secret”, by the way there was a book with the same name and same contest – how to attract nothing.

3 Stars Suspicious why none of Murphy’s stories have been verified
As a broad statement, I find it suspicious that no one whom Murphy mentions as having had some great demonstration done for them via the application of these techniques has come forward. At least not to my knowledge. Does anybody besides me wonder if Murphy just made up these stories to sell his books? Not saying he did, but who can tell? In this book he tells of a female teacher in California(who listened to Murphy’s lectures) admire an $8,000 ermine coat. Her annual salary at the time was five to six thousand per year. But by application of Murphy’s techniques, she met a man who proposed marriage, gave her a diamond ring and bought that exact coat for her. Is it too much to wonder why this woman apparently never came forward to verify this story? Many stories like this are in many if not all of Murphy’s books. None have every been verified to my knowledge. Makes me wonder if all these stories are made up because Murphy and other authors know there are plenty of fools(apparently including me) who want to believe you can get what you want without working for it.
